Hard reset instructions for Belkin F7D8301

If your F7D8301 router is not working as it should, dropping connections or not being responsive, you should first do a reset of the router to see if the problems persist. Other scenarios where you might want to reset your router is if you've forgotten the password or misconfigured it and can't get access anymore.
Your can reset your Belkin F7D8301 in the following way(s):

Through the web-interface

  1. Open browser and head over the web-interface of your router (check default settings below)
  2. Log in with your password (default settings below)
  3. Under Utilities, click on Restore Factory Defaults.
  4. On the resulting page click on the button Restore Defaults
  5. Wait for the Power LED to stop blinking
    1. If it doesn't stop blinking after one minute, restart router by unplugging it.

With reset button

  1. Have the router plugged in an powered on.
  2. Press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds (use a sharp pen or paperclip)
  3. Wait at least one minute so that the router has time to restart.

The 30-30-30 reset

If the above instructions don't work you can always try the 30-30-30 reset as follows:
  1. When router is powered on, press the reset button and hold for 30 seconds. (Use a paper clip or something sharp)
  2. While holding the reset button pressed, unplug the power of the router and hold the reset button for 30 seconds
  3. While still holding the reset button down, turn on the power to the unit again and hold for another 30 seconds.
